Operating in the toy industry means working within a highly regulated environment where safety is non-negotiable.

On October 8th,Andrea Melotti – Dulcop President, Allegra Melotti – Marketing Director, and Arianna Melotti – R&D Director, attended the technical seminar hosted by UL Solutions, focused on updates to the EU Toy Safety Regulation and other recent developments in European and global toy standards.

Key topics included:
  • updates on published EN standards and their harmonization;
  • focus on EN standards - Appendix C :
  • upcoming standards under approval (Fpr EN 71-1, EN 71-20, CEN/TR 18240, IEC FDIS 62115:2017 / Amd1:2025);
  • overview of USA/CPSC standard, microplastics, titanium dioxide, cobalt, and talc updates and new international regulatory trends.
The session also explored the benefits of smart testing, highlighting how proactive compliance helps ensure safety, reliability, and trust across the supply chain.
