Dulcop International S.p.A. strengthens its commitment to environmental sustainability with the activation of an industrial photovoltaic system that will cover 70% of the energy needs of its new production site in Castel San Pietro Terme. A tangible step within the company’s broader ESG plan.
June 16, 2025 marks a key milestone in Dulcop’s ecological transition: the photovoltaic system at our Castel San Pietro Terme facility (Bologna) has officially been activated proving our commitment to sustainable, Made in Italy production.
The PV system, with an installed capacity of 509 kWp and consisting of 864 monocrystalline PV panels across 5,000 square meters, will generate over 650,000 kWh of renewable energy per year. This output will supply 70% of the energy demand of our 25,000 m² production site and will allow us to avoid more than 306,500 kg of CO₂ emissions annually — the equivalent of planting approximately 15,300 trees.
A key milestone in Dulcop’s ESG plan
The activation of the PV system is one of the measurable results of Dulcop’s three-year ESG plan, which will be disclosed in the upcoming 2025 Sustainability Report, prepared according to GRI standards and aligned with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:
